Uganda Visa Information
All travelers visiting Uganda require a visa except citizens of visa-exempt countries. Uganda visas must be applied for online before travel through the official immigration website.

East Africa Tourist Visa
The East Africa Tourist Visa allows travel between Uganda, Rwanda, and Kenya using a single visa. It is valid for 90 days and costs USD $100. This is ideal for travelers combining gorilla trekking and wildlife safaris across multiple countries.
Passport Requirements
Passport must be valid for at least 6 months from date of entry
At least 2 blank pages required
Vaccination Requirements
A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is mandatory for entry into Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania. You may be asked to present the vaccination card upon arrival.
Recommended vaccinations include Hepatitis A, Typhoid, and routine immunizations. Please consult your doctor before travel.
Malaria & Health
Malaria is present in most safari areas. We recommend taking anti-malarial medication and using mosquito repellent, especially during evening hours.
Currency & Payments
The official currency in Uganda is the Uganda Shilling (UGX). In Rwanda, it is the Rwandan Franc (RWF). However, US Dollars (printed after 2009) are widely accepted for tourism services.

Best Time to Visit
East Africa is a year-round safari destination. However, the dry seasons (June–September and December–February) are considered best for wildlife viewing and gorilla trekking.
